Portuguese-speakers come to London from ten different countries: Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, East Timor, Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe and Macau.
They are predominantly concentrated in and around an area known as Little Portugal in Stockwell – where you can find Portuguese businesses managed by migrants themselves, offering everything from traditional dishes to Portuguese-made products.
But they also live all across London. Our community is home to Portuguese-speaking CEOs, campaigners, journalists, politicians, artists and change makers.
Through videos, photographs and other visual content, our online media platform tells the inspiring stories of Portuguese-speakers in London.
